The Lunchbox Museum

Retro Deb (standing to the left of Greg) told us stories and history about her collection of lunchboxes, circus displays, and more kitschy collectibles from everyone’s childhood. L-R, Tom, Don (Deb’s husband), Beth, Deb, & Greg.

May 10, 2022, Nice California.

It is always fun to have friends with cool connections. When we were visiting our friends Tom and Beth in Lake County, California we found out that they were good friends with the owners of the Lunchbox Museum in Nice, California. They got us in for a private tour! So fun. Here’s some of what we saw.

(All pics are click to enlarge. Once you have them enlarged you can view them in a slide show.)

And if you have a quarter you can make Laughing Sally and her friends have a good time.

It is quite possible that I will be sharing this post on My Corner of the World. Check out this blog hop to see what people are up to recently all over the world.

  1. Looks like a fun place. I don’t recognize any of it from my childhood, though. 🙂 I love having friends with connections. And making connections myself. Being on the road is always interesting, isn’t it?

    1. Yes, it is interesting. I didn’t think I was going to have any stand alone posts on this visit but when we went to this museum I knew it would be.

Perhaps lunchboxes are an American thing? You know how Americans like to commercialize any and everything.

  2. Did you see “lost in space?” That was mine.

Thanks for the fantastic blog you two, i know it’s a lot of work. You share so much of your life on this thing, and i learn so much about the world.

    1. I’m sure they had Lost in Space but I don’t remember. That’s a good one!

You’re welcome Robert! Thanks fir reading all these years.

  3. This is so lovely Duwan. I often read your blog. I find it so interesting especially when you were trying to get the van fixed. I could totally relate to it. I especially like your budgets. And yes, Lost in Space was up in the dome lunchbox area.

    1. Thanks, Deb! We really enjoyed visiting your museum! I’m so glad you enjoy the blog. The van saga was quite an ordeal!
