Just Wildflowers 5

Western Virgin’s Bower – Balanced Rock, June 10, 2020

June 10 – July 2, 2020.

Today we have another Wordless Wednesday. Although you may see a few words here they are actually data so we aren’t counting them as words.

Here is some data:

222 – the number of wildflowers and blooms (from 4 different states) I have documented so far on this site.

Click this link to see all the Just Wildflower posts.

See what other people are doing for Wordless Wednesday here.

We use iNaturalist for all of our flower ids. Sometimes we make mistakes. To see all the wildlife we have identified with iNaturalist, click here.

As always, all pics are click to enlarge.

Enough of the words data, on to the flowers!

  1. Your beautiful wildflower presentation made our day! Hope you are having a wonderful time in the West, such a glorious environment for wild flowers. Stay safe and love, Meredith and Ed

    1. So glad I made your day. We love hearing from you so you made our day too! We are really enjoying the west – especially all the new places we been able to visit this summer. Hope all is well in NY!

  2. Another beautiful collection, Duwan! The nightshade is my favorite. What a gorgeous appearance. As you noticed, I did a WW post this week as well (no time for anything more), but forgot to link up. Maybe I can still do it tomorrow. If I don’t forget. 🙂 Enjoy your fauna and flora out west!

    1. Yes, the NIghtshade is great! What an unusual looking flower. We were just sitting on a dock looking for birds when I looked down and there is was!

We keep finding new species every day. And now we are in the land of big mammals! Hoping to see a moose before we go back to the dessert.

      See you soon, I hope!

  3. Exceptional photos and story. You know, you really should consider sending these in to one of many gardening/outdoor magazines. Call me if you want to discuss.

    1. Thanks Robert! I think many of these pics are two small for print publication – but once I get my new camera with the longer zoom I might consider it!
